Located just outside Nashville in middle Tennessee, MCK is home to working line dogs being breed to recapture and maintain the working abilities and temperaments that made our breeds become classics in the first place.
We have no issues with the show community or those that breed for family companions – we just believe that if you breed true to form from a great working line you can meet these needs with a little something extra.
We strive to breed dogs that meet the original standards, removing defects and improving upon the breeds as we go. To do this we look at the breeds origin, their original purpose, the functionality they needed to perform those jobs, and the confirmation. For more specifics, check out each breeds page.
At MCK we raise all our pups in our home with our other pets and children. We follow the Puppy Culture system: an extensive puppy whelping and rearing program based on the most modern dog psychology and physiology. We have seen first hand how pups produced with this system end up stronger, more confident, more resilient, and are greeted in their new homes with amazement at how fast they learn and adapt.
